Notifications
Configure how and when Detectify notifies you about new findings, scan completions, and other events. Notifications can be delivered via email and in-app alerts.
Notification Channels
Email Notifications
Email notifications are sent to the email address associated with your Detectify account. You can configure which events trigger email notifications.
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear in the notification center within the Detectify dashboard. These are always enabled and provide a real-time feed of activity.
Integration Notifications
For team-level notifications through Slack, Microsoft Teams, or other platforms, see Integrations.
Configuring Email Notifications
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications.
- For each notification type, toggle email delivery on or off.
Available Notification Types
| Notification | Description |
|---|---|
| New findings | A new vulnerability has been detected. Configurable by severity level. |
| Scan completed | A scheduled or manual scan has finished |
| Scan failed | A scan encountered an error and could not complete |
| Asset changes | New assets discovered or existing assets changed by Attack Surface Management |
| Certificate expiry | An SSL/TLS certificate is approaching expiration |
| Account activity | New user invitations, role changes, and other account events |
Severity Filtering
For finding notifications, you can select which severity levels trigger an email:
- Critical — Always recommended
- High — Recommended for most users
- Medium — Optional, can generate higher volume
- Low — Optional, typically reviewed in the dashboard during triage
Notification Frequency
Immediate Notifications
Critical and High severity findings are sent immediately when detected. This ensures you are alerted to the most important issues as soon as possible.
Digest Notifications
For lower severity findings and asset changes, you can opt into a daily or weekly digest instead of receiving individual emails. Digests consolidate multiple events into a single email, reducing inbox volume.
To configure digest frequency:
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications.
- Under Digest Settings, select Daily or Weekly.
- Choose the preferred delivery time.
- Click Save.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe from specific notification types at any time through Settings > Notifications. Each email also includes an unsubscribe link for that notification type. In-app notifications cannot be disabled.
