Scan Region

Your web application may behave differently for visitors in different regions. The scan region sets where the scan’s traffic comes from:

• Europe (Ireland)
• US East (N. Virginia)
• Asia Pacific (Mumbai)

The setting is under Scan preferences > From which region should we scan? in the scan profile settings. It’s not available on every account. If you don’t see it, contact support.

Team Default and Per-Profile Region

A scan profile uses the team’s default region unless you change it. The team default is Default region for Application Scanning in your team settings, and it applies to every scan profile that doesn’t set its own region.

To use a different region for one scan profile, turn off Inherit team’s default region and choose a region under Select region. The change applies to scans started after it.

To scan an application from several regions, change the region between scans, or create one scan profile per region.

Access from Ireland

Detectify’s core services run in Ireland. Even when a scan profile scans from US East or Asia Pacific, your web application must still be reachable from Ireland. Allowlist the IP addresses for Ireland and for each region you scan from. See Scanner IP Addresses.
